Defne Tosun, with a bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management; University of North Texas Denton TX USA and master’s degree in Cross Cultural Studies (specialized in mediation & conflict resolution); University of Houston Clear Lake Houston TX USA, has 24 years of professional experience in the field of public relations (PR), event management, communication, networking, publicity and information through planning and implementation of public relations, planning and organizing events, information, publicity, promotional and awareness raising activities.
She has more than 15 years of extensive knowledge and proven experience in applying EU visibility rules while ensuring effective communication and mediation between the stakeholders in implementation of the projects.
In addition, she is highly experienced in developing and implementing communication strategies and plans in accordance with EU visibility guidelines for EU funded projects as well as for marketing, media and public relations for private and public sector.
She established strong networks with Turkish media through designing media campaigns, organizing media events and publishing press releases and gained knowledge of the communication environment in Turkey. She has experience in supporting design of project web sites and developing content and managing social media accounts.
